5 Reasons Why You Should Use a Waist Trainer

Before jumping into waist training, it’s wise to educate yourself about best practices and proper expectations. Waist training involves wearing a corset to slim your waist and achieve that perfect “hourglass” figure. It might surprise you (or maybe not!) to know that one of the most common questions we get is: "Why do people wear corsets?" It seems so obvious when you’re a ‘seasoned’ corset wearer or a long-time waist trainer, but there are plenty of corset-curious folks out there who might consider one if they understood what all the hype was about.

1) An “Hourglass” Figure: This is why most women start waist training. The reason: It works. Corsets “cinch” in the waist and accentuate the curves of the burstline and hips.
It happens so gradually that we don’t always notice, but one morning you wake up, look in the mirror and realize that your waistline seems to have disappeared, this has helped many women to get their waist back after childbirth Yes, you can diet, exercise, drop a few pounds but let’s face it, sometimes you just want that “look” again NOW!
2) Its`s Sexy: Along with making you achieve an hourglass figure wearing them make you look sexy, don’t be shocked or scandalized corsets are sexy. It's not just about the look either. Try a corset on sometime. If you’ve got the right size and style, you feel pretty amazing as soon as you cinch those laces. No need to tight lace either, just snug it up to your body.
3) Improves Posture: Wearing a corset forces you to maintain good posture both while sitting and standing. The steel boning in the corset is rigid, and doesn’t allow for slouching. You might be surprised at the number of corsets you would find under a pair of loose fitting scrubs or under those orange vests at your local home improvement store. Whether you’re standing for long periods or tied to an office chair for most of your work day, you won’t be able to slouch if you’re wearing a corsets. You'll find many options out there to help with back support and posture improvement, but are any of them as beautiful and versatile as a corset? WE don’t think so!

4) Weight Loss: If you wear your corset during meal times (as many full-time waist trainers do), you will find you cannot eat large portions of food. So yes, you can lose weight if you choose to corset for long periods of time (especially before and during meal times). That said, just wearing the corset won’t help you lose weight. Corsets don’t magically melt body fat, they simply help limit food consumption when worn during a meal.
